Floral Grid

There was just something about these prints together. I loved how the top and  the pants don't necessarily match, but they still go well together. To me the beige, orange and purple play off the black and the white of the pants well.

I made the top from a uniform scrub (like nurses wear). My mom didn't like the fit, but I didn't want the print to go to waste so I gladly took it. It's calm and colorful at the same time. I knew I couldn't wear the top the way I had gotten it. I decided to make a "reverse high-low". Regular high lows are currently getting on my nerves, just because we've been seeing them everywhere for the past three years. The shirt is actually backwards because I wanted to get rid of the v-neck that scrubs normally have. I wanted to make sure that there was a drastic difference in length between the front and the back. I'd rather have my back out than, my stomach. I get fidget-ty when my stomach's out. I hadn't seen this style of shirt before and I just thought it was clever.

I fought myself on these pants. I already had a lot of black in my closet. I was trying to talk myself into buying a blue pair of pants, but these black ones with the white lines kept tugging on my soul. These were on sale at H&M for $10, in July. This is my first time wearing them. I know that they basically go with everything, but I had a hard time pairing them with a top so that the look wasn't boring. I couldn't find anything to wear it with that I absolutely loved. Until now!

I made these ankle leis for this past Valentine's Day. I was going though an obsession with floral accessories, but I had already made six headbands. I think I just wanted to put the flowers in an unexpected place.

These. Shoes. These shoes were heaven sent. Yes, these are men's shoes, but I couldn't care less. I found these at a thrift store for $2! That's the best deal I've ever gotten on anything. They're absolutely perfect. They're lavender. They're smooth and textured. And most importantly, they fit! There was no way I wasn't going to get them.

  1. What I love about this look is that it's daring. Who say's you have to stick to basic pairing's? Each article of clothing has it's own expression yet when combined creates a masterpiece.
